The main three ways we can protect your home is through Santa Fe Dehumidifiers, mold treatment, and radon testing (coming soon).
Dehumidifiers are essential to a home, their job is to remove excess humidity and moisture out of the air. Mold and mildew grow in humid air, which can trigger allergies and health problems for people living in the home. Damage to your personal items can also occur if there is too much moisture in the air. The best way to prevent these problems is to invest in a dehumidifier, more specifically, a Santa Fe Dehumidifier. The Basement Guys® have two options of Santa Fe Dehumidifiers to choose from, Classic and Compact.
This product is the most energy-efficient dehumidifier in the market by including technology that maintains 50% or less humidity recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). A few of the features included are that it removes up to 100 pints of water a day from the air in a home up to 2,500 sq. ft. The Classic dehumidifier is larger than the Compact, measuring at 20”w x 36”h x 17”d, but is small enough to stay out of the way during family time. Keep in mind that this piece of equipment weighs about 100 pounds, do not hurt yourself trying to carry it downstairs. The feature that makes the Santa Fe Classic dehumidifier stand out is the Auto Restart, this means that if there is a power outage the device will automatically start at the original setting.
Being very similar to the Santa Fe Classic dehumidifier, the compact helps protect your home from any moisture, mold and/or mildew from developing in your home. It is called the Compact simply because it is smaller in size compared to the Classic, measuring at 21”w x 12”h x 12”d and weighing 55 pounds. This is perfect for houses that are 1,600 sq. ft and smaller because it removes up to 70 pints of water from the air. The features on the Compact dehumidifier are the same as the Classic version, making the Santa Fe Dehumidifiers the best in the industry.
Mold is the cause of many health problems for homeowners, it can create skin irritation, congestion, and even allergic reactions. The Basement Guys® now can offer a mold treatment service that will kill any mold, fungus, and mildew on contact. We use a spray-on method that can break through the micro-membrane layer and kill the living organisms that are living in your basement. A good smelling, worldwide tested mold treatment is exactly what you need for your home.
