A man living in the Pittsburgh area had a partial house fire destroy the back part of the home. One of the walls was excavated and replaced. After a while, water began seeping inside, and there were stair-step cracks. Mold, mildew, and moisture were present in the basement as well. After dealing with the issue for a while, the man began looking at companies to waterproof.
The Basement Guys of Pittsburgh were contacted for a free estimate. Our representative took note of the cracks and saw the water damage. After talking to the man about the waterproofing, the representative recommended covering the wall with a vapor barrier to protect the home. The man was quoted for WaterGuard® Below Floor Drain, CleanSpace® Vapor Barrier, and a SuperSump® Pump. The drain would be installed below the concrete slab and connect to the sump pump. A vapor barrier would secure the wall in place, help seal moisture out, and make the space look clean.
The man received estimates from other companies and decided to go with us for the job! Our team installed WaterGuard® first, then the SuperSump®, and CleanSpace®.
