Haunted House

A classic theme, but spooky! Decorations are super important and make sure to set the mood with proper lighting and music. Invest in a fog machine and snacks too. Costumes are optional, but having a good time is required!

Murder Mystery

If you grew up watching shows such as Sherlock Holmes, love the board game Clue, or are a fan of true crime podcasts, a murder mystery party is perfect! Invite guests, assign them roles, and ask them to dress the part. It’s important to plan ahead of time and to make it tricky to solve. Bonus points if you have a prize for solving the case.

Masquerade or Costume Party

Probably one of the more popular party options. Guests show up in any costume they want and socialize, dance, and take pictures. Decorate the finished space to your heart’s desire. Serving snack food is a must, and themed Halloween treats are always a favorite! 

Halloween Movie or Show Theme 

Is there a certain Halloween movie or show you love? Why not make it a party theme! Whether it’s Halloweentown, Hocus Pocus, or something completely different, transform the space to reflect it. Dress up as your favorite character, and make sure to play the movie or show that the theme is based around.
